Capiz shell is a flat, semi-transparent shell with a pearlescent appearance. Capiz is often used to create lampshades or other luminescent objects, such as candle holders, because of its striking appearance when light shines through. However, it is just as common to see the bases of lamps crafted with capiz shell. Capiz is also frequently used as an accent to many household and fashion accessories. Capiz is generally considered to be elegant and formal.

How could we? Why not? We’ve been through a lot. We’ve been together for as long as I could remember. But we’re so different. But everyone says we go well together…

In a Garden
- Marra PL Lanot
Keep cool, fiery sun, lest a thousand
devils from your eyes
pierce the wings of a
painting butterfly
Walk soft, starless night, lest your cup
spill and blacken
the shivering petals of a rose
in a lonely garden

Shoegazing (also known as shoegaze) is a subgenre of alternative rock that emerged from the United Kingdom in the late 1980s. It lasted until the mid 1990s with a critical zenith reached in 1990 and 1991. The British music press—particularly NME and Melody Maker—named this style shoegazing because the musicians in these bands stood relatively still during live performances, whilst concentrating on their effects pedals on the floor, hence the idea that they were gazing at their shoes.
